But Our Princess is in Another Castle...

Last weekend Ryan and Shannon came into town for a visit. Ryan, Jared and Dave all grew up together in the Philippines, so these boys have one special bond.

The bonus is that all of the wives get along great as well!

So, needless to say, we love it when one of the "boys" (and wife) come to town. We spent the weekend reliving our childhood and busted out the old school Nintendo. We had a weekend full of Mario, Luigi and all of their antics. We had a blast!

Apparently, I'm the Nintendo weirdo because I don't play with my thumbs like the rest of the world. Mimsies took a picture, she was so fascinated. Anyone else out there play like this? Maybe it just runs in my family!

How do you spell stress relief?

My life is full of so many unknowns right now. Many of them having to do with school, many of them personal. It's times like this that I find myself so overwhelmed that I don't know what to do with myself. Throughout my life, when a stressful time would come around, I would find myself in front of the piano more. Playing piano has always been a good way to relieve my stress. When I have a lot on my mind, I can sit and play forever and just think. I might give that a shot tomorrow.
I hope you all had a great weekend. Enjoy the week!

Guess what?

Yep. Our car is back...

and still not 100% fixed. It appears that even though we were rear-ended, the trunk is still not fixed. When we opened it to see if everything looked ok inside, we couldn't get it shut again. The latch is broken. You would think they would check that out, you know? Anyway, we're taking it to yet another body shop tomorrow and hopefully it will be finished soon.

and: DAVE IS HOME!!!! yea! My 2 weeks of being single are over and I am SO glad. It's great having him back. However, the day he got back, we had a big group of friends from college come to visit us. Between Mimsies house and ours, we've hosted 10 adults, 2 toddlers and a nine month old all weekend. They all just left a few hours ago for the airport. It was a great weekend of catching up and enjoying yummy food. Here is a photo for your enjoyment:

Hope you all enjoyed your long weekend. Here's to 4-day weeks!
